Pictured is the inside of a Seascape, as you can see we use box style ribs instead of top hat. Top hat style ribbing was designed for small light weight tinnies and will open up under load in a off shore situation creating a gap between the bottom sheet and the rib and that's bad. You will also notice that all the gussets are tied together creating one solid unit, each gusset supporting the rest, this helps to create a very solid feel under foot, nothing worse when you walk around your boat and the floor flexes under your feet. All fuel tanks in our offshore range run with the boat creating a much more stable platform and allow us to run significant more dead rise than our competitors. With the advent of plate coming into the smaller boats under 6.0m something happened to the detriment of our smaller Aussie hulls, they lost there rocker. Rocker is the curvature a hull has front to back, as you trim your engine out it pushes on the rear of the craft down lifting the bow, 2 things happen then, as the bow lifts the wetted surface area ( the area of the boat still in contact with water) is reduced, breaking the grip water has on the hull giving you greater top end speeds, and less engine rev's for the same speed, this greatly increases economy. The 2nd is you create a dry hull, its hard to get wet when the spray being released from behind the hull. The R.I.S (Rocker Induced System) recently introduced to all Seascape's has done something very few manufactures have cottoned on to. By pressing longitudinal planning strakes into 4mm & 5mm Plate with a sophisticated, Multi stage, digital 500 ton press. We now have the strength of plate and the dry ride of thinner pressed hulls. Make sure your not off your rocker on your next purchase it'll keep you dry, give you greater range, less engine wear and of course better economy .
